What qualifications are needed to run for Mayor?

The Mayor must have resided in the Town for at least two years immediately preceding the election and must be a qualified voter of the Town.  He/She must maintain a permanent residence in the Town during his/her term.

What is the tax rate?

The current tax rate for real property is $0.2615 per hundred of assessed value.

The current tangible personal property tax rate is $.0040 per hundred.

What is the water sewer rate?

The FY26 rates are as follows:

The quarterly water base rate is $102, in addition to $9.50 per 1,000 gallons up to 20,000 gallons, and $11.50 per 1,000 gallons over 20,000 gallons.
The quarterly sewer base rate is $100, in addition to $11.50 per 1,000 gallons up to 20,000 gallons, and $12.00 per 1,000 gallons over 20,000 gallons.
Add $15 per quarter for the Bay Restoration Fund.
